What is a "MythArc"?

You won't find mytharc in any dictionary. You will however, find the terms upon which mytharc is based.

Webster's Dictionary says this about the word "myth":

\Myth\, n. [Written also mythe.] [Gr. my^qos myth, fable, tale, talk, speech: cf. F. mythe.] 1. A story of great but unknown age which originally embodied a belief regarding some fact or phenomenon of experience, and in which often the forces of nature and of the soul are personified; an ancient legend of a god, a hero, the origin of a race, etc.; a wonder story of prehistoric origin; a popular fable which is, or has been, received as historical.

The American Heritage Dictionary describes an "arc" as:

n.  Something shaped like a curve or arch: the vivid arc of a rainbow.

Confused?

Well, here's a contemporary example to help you get a handle on the term. If you've ever watched the television program The X-Files, then you know about the overarching storyline involving aliens. This is sometimes referred to as the X-Files Mytharc.

In other words, the alien takeover story is the main thread that runs throughout the tapestry of the series.  Even though many individual shows may not have centered around aliens (chupacabra, devil worship, and Flukeman being just a few examples), the mytharc always remained  in the background, almost like another character.

So, we have called our main thread
The MythArc.

What is our primary storyline then?
What does the MythArc mean?

If you look at our logo, you'll see this bible verse referenced:

For there shall rise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, inasmuch as [it were] possible, shall deceive the very elect.  (Matthew 24:24)

"Okay, so what does that mean?" you may ask.  Let's start by examining just who Christ is.
